In September, UK & Swedish officers from the European LGBT Police Association attended the Palace of Serbia where they met the Prime Minister Ana Brnonic, the head of the European Union Delegation, minister of Justice, public prosecutors and the Director of the Civil Rights defenders.
During the event, the EGPA delivered guidance on the value and progression of police support associations and presented Hate Crime guidance drawing on the vast experience of members of the association to progress better understanding and standards of LGBT and non binary communities in the western Balkans.
Following the event, officers participated (sadly not in uniform) in the 2017 Belgrade Pride meeting and speaking with the inspiring Serbian Prime Minister and supporter for LGBT progression,
