Members of the Association Executive Committee had their bi-annual gathering from 22-23rd November 2019 held in 2 historical locations. Day 1 took place within Tulliallan Castle in Fife, home of the Scottish Police College and Day 2 was held in the capital city of Edinburgh which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
This was the first time that the EGPA has officially met in Scotland and the Association is grateful to the Scottish LGBTI Police Association for making all the arrangements and for their hospitality.
Before the 2 days of meetings, a video was recorded by the President for the annual New Year message.
On the evening of the 1st Day, delegates left Tulliallan for Edinburgh where a reception was held with members of the Police Scotland LGBT Allies Network and Out in COPFS, the LGBT support network of the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service.
Day 2 began with a tour of the Scottish Parliament with EGPA President Alain PARMENTIER having his picture taken sitting on the seat of the First Minister of Scotland. The tour was arranged by the Parliament’s LGBT staff network.
Many topics were discussed over both days including the EGPA 2020 Conference which will be held in Thessaloniki, Greece between 24-26 June. More details about the conference and how to register will be posted on this website soon.
The minutes from the Executive Committee gathering in Scotland will be distributed to General Board members in due course.
